Abstract

La présente invention concerne une composition pouvant servir de milieu d'interface pour permettre un couplage optique et faciliter le contact entre un échantillon et une surface tissulaire, telle que la peau. Les compositions de la présente invention présentent un indice de réfraction d'environ 1,4, ce qui se rapproche des indices des deux éléments que sont la peau et l'échantillon, et peuvent être claires dans le domaine spectral de 270-500 nm, tamponnées à un pH, glissantes, solubles dans l'eau, et visqueuses. Les compositions peuvent également être utilisées pour calibrer l'application de pression entre un échantillon et une surface et standardiser le fonctionnement de l'instrument, ou pour adapter la surface dans le but d'optimiser l'utilisation de l'instrument.
