Abstract
L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé permettant de déterminer la position d'un dispositif sans fil équipé de Bluetooth. Ce procédé est fondé sur l'échange d'informations de position entre des dispositifs utilisant la technique Bluetooth. Si l'un de ces dispositifs connaît sa position (car il est fixe ou car il possède un récepteur GPS ou un capteur GPS, ou d'autres moyens lui permettant de déterminer sa propre position), alors ces informations de position peuvent être transmises à d'autres dispositifs situé à proximité RF. De plus, une technique de triangulation utilisant la mesure de distance et/ou l'intensité du signal provenant de plusieurs dispositifs à proximité RF peut être utilisée pour déterminer la position du dispositif.
