Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil destiné à la manipulation d'objets tubulaire et comprenant un corps de forme allongée pourvu d'une extrémité de couplage conçus pour un engagement emboîté dans un objet tubulaire. L'extrémité de couplage est constituée d'un élément structurel (4), d'une cage cylindrique flexible et d'un élément de pression. Des bandes longitudinales (80) se réunissant à leurs extrémités opposées (82) forment la cage qui est coaxiale et reliée à l'élément structurel (4) du corps. L'élément de pression coaxial est disposé dans l'espace annulaire se dégageant entre l'élément structurel et la cage. L'élément de pression est conçu pour provoquer le déplacement radial de la cage, exerçant de la sorte une force de serrage tendant à maintenir l'engagement emboîté entre l'objet tubulaire et l'extrémité de couplage, ce qui permet un transfert de force entre le corps et l'objet tubulaire.
