Abstract
L'invention porte sur le procédé d'étanchéification d'un raccord à emboîtement utilisant un joint (26,126,226) présentant une partie (40,140,240), s'engageant dans la tulipe et une partie (42,142,242) portant sur le bout mâle, et une partie raidisseuse. La partie raidisseuse présente une première dureté au duromètre tandis que la partie portant sur le bout mâle présente une deuxième dureté au duromètre moindre. Les trois parties sont toutes formées par coextrusion. Le joint présente une surface extérieure (46) d'un diamètre D1 lorsque le joint n'est pas comprimé. Ledit procédé consiste à introduire le joint dans la tulipe (30) du premier tuyau (22), puis le bout mâle du deuxième tuyau (24) dans le joint. Après l'introduction, la partie côté bout mâle du joint porte sur un siège (36) formé sur le bout mâle, et la partie côté tulipe du joint porte sur un siège (32) formé dans la tulipe. Le siège de la tulipe présente un diamètre D2 inférieur à D1. L'introduction du bout mâle dans le joint se fait après l'introduction du joint dans la tulipe.
