Abstract
L'invention concerne un système (30) et un procédé permettant de déterminer la concentration de pâte et d'utiliser ladite concentration comme variable de traitement, de façon à vérifier un certain aspect de fonctionnement d'un raffineur (32), utilisé pour affiner la pâte. Ledit système comprend au moins un capteur (70 ou 180) à partir duquel une certaine grandeur du raffineur est obtenue puis utilisée par une unité de traitement (38) pour déterminer la concentration. Ledit procédé consiste à utiliser cette grandeur, notamment une température ou une pression détectée à l'intérieur du raffineur ou dans une zone de raffinage (304) de ce dernier, avec au moins une autre variable de raffinage pour déterminer la concentration. L'invention concerne également un régulateur (274) utilisant la concentration déterminée pour vérifier un certain aspect de fonctionnement du raffineur. Dans un régulateur préféré, on compare la concentration à une consigne de concentration et on effectue des réglages pour essayer de conformer la concentration à ladite consigne. Ledit régulateur peut être arrêté, de façon à adapter les modifications apportées au fonctionnement du raffineur, puis redémarré lorsque ledit raffineur est prêt à fonctionner.
