Abstract
L'invention concerne des cellules et des batteries au plomb et des plaques positives pour de telles cellules et batteries. La plaque positive comprend une structure, présentant une couche de matière active collée, soutenant une grille. Cette structure soutenant la grille contient un alliage au plomb consistant essentiellement de plomb, d'environ 0,02 % à environ 0,06 % de calcium, d'environ 0,2 % à environ 3,0 % d'étain, et de 0,01 % à environ 0,02 % d'argent. Une plaque positive selon l'invention présente d'excellentes propriétés mécaniques, est satisfaisante pour une utilisation dans des cellules et des batteries au plomb, et confère des propriétés électriques améliorées aux cellules et batteries utilisant de telles plaques positives.
