Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à une structure de filtre de milieu extensible composée de matériaux biodégradables et pouvant être jetée dans l'environnement. Une pluralité de panneaux plissés sont interconnectés au niveau de leurs rebords de manière à être pliés pour le stockage et l'expédition mais aussi extensibles pour l'installation. Une pluralité de rubans sont soudés de manière ultrasonique à chacun des rebords de panneaux, les portions de ruban entre les rebords étant de longueur substantiellement égale, ce qui permet de maintenir un espacement égal entre les rebords de panneau lorsque le filtre est en condition d'expansion mais permet un pliage facile du filtre pour le stockage. Des paires de plaques d'extrémité font partie du filtre jetable, chacune des paire étant reliée par adhésion à un panneau d'extrémité et étant dotée d'une paire de fentes formée près de leurs extrémités afin d'être reliée à une structure de support non jetable. Les panneaux d'extrémité sont formés de plusieurs couches de carton qui sont reliées par adhésion et comprimées en une structure en forme de U qui soutient fermement le filtre en condition d'expansion. La structure de support non jetable comprend une paire de bouchons latéraux en plastique moulés qui s'insèrent dans les extrémités respectives des panneaux de filtre et des plaques d'extrémité. Chaque bouchon latéral est doté d'une paire de brides au niveau des extrémités opposées qui servent à maintenir le filtre en condition d'expansion lorsque les plaques d'extrémité sont placées en position contiguë. Chaque bouchon latéral comprend également un bossage qui vient s'insérer dans fente de plaque d'extrémité respective afin de maintenir les plaques d'extrémité dans leurs positions installées à l'intérieur des bouchons latéraux.
