Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un appareil (21) servant au reformage à la vapeur d'hydrocarbures, et utilisant à cet effet un catalyseur tolérant le soufre, qui contient une phase active et une phase de support, et éventuellement un promoteur, qui assure une conversion pour ainsi dire complète des hydrocarbures en un mélange d'hydrogène, de monoxyde de carbone et de dioxyde de carbone. Ce procédé consiste à introduire dans l'appareil de la vapeur, par l'intermédiaire d'un conduit d'amenée de vapeur (22), et une source d'hydrocarbures, par l'intermédiaire d'un conduit d'amenée d'hydrocarbures (23), contenant au moins environ 2 ppm d'espèces de soufre, et à mettre en réaction cette vapeur et cette source d'hydrocarbures dans le lit catalytique (26).
