Abstract

Un évent, conjointement avec une ou plusieurs ouvertures dans un bâtiment, fournit une voie pour l'échange de gaz à travers une surface de bâtiment. L'évent comprend un élément de base ayant une ouverture traversante d'évent et sur son périmètre une bride de montage généralement plane. L'élément de base peut être monté à l'intérieur d'une surface de bâtiment telle que la bride de montage s'étend entre une couche de surface intérieure du bâtiment et une ou plusieurs couches de la surface extérieure du bâtiment, et l'ouverture d'aération est en communication fluidique avec une ou plusieurs ouvertures dans le bâtiment. L'évent comprend en outre un couvercle d'évent qui est monté de façon non permanente à l'élément de base lorsque ledit élément de base est monté à l'intérieur sur une surface du bâtiment. Le couvercle d'évent comporte un capot qui fait saillie vers le bas et vers l'extérieur de l'élément de base pour éloigner l'humidité de l'ouverture de l'évent. Une bride de drainage inférieure peut faire saillie vers l'extérieur et vers le bas depuis le dessous de l'ouverture de l'évent pour transmettre l'humidité vers le bas et vers l'extérieur au-delà d'une ou plusieurs couches extérieures du bâtiment.
