Abstract

Les machines d'emballage connues permettent uniquement d'emballer des objets dans des configurations limitées, habituellement sous forme d'un seul type d'emballage. La présente invention concerne un serveur (108) et un système client (102) permettant au client d'effectuer plusieurs sélections concernant une pluralité de critères de manière à personnaliser l'emballage d'objets. Une simulation des objets emballés est affichée par le client (102) et peut être visionnée sous divers angles sélectionnés par l'utilisateur. Lorsque le type d'emballage est sélectionné, l'utilisateur ordonne au serveur (108) par l'intermédiaire du client (102), de commander une imprimante laser (112), une table de coupe (114) et une machine d'emballage robotisée (120) de manière à produire un type d'emballage imprimé sélectionné, et à emballer des objets sélectionnés dans le type d'emballage imprimé sélectionné.
