Abstract
L'invention concerne de façon générale des cathéters intravasculaires. Plus particulièrement, l'invention concerne des cathéters d'angioplastie dotés d'un bloc de support. Selon un mode préféré de l'invention, un cathéter d'angioplastie comprend un tube intérieur présentant une extrémité proximale et une extrémité distale séparées par une lumière; un tube extérieur placé au-dessus du tube intérieur, le tube extérieur présentant une extrémité proximale et une extrémité distale; un ballonnet couplé à l'extrémité distale du tube extérieur; une lumière de gonflage délimitée par le tube intérieur et le tube extérieur, ce ballonnet de gonflage étant en communication fluidique avec le ballonnet; et enfin, un bloc de support couplé au tube intérieur. Par ailleurs, l'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de ce cathéter d'angioplastie.
