Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour dresser et refroidir de manière régulée un feuillard métallique large, notamment un feuillard d'acier (1) ou une tôle, sortant d'un laminoir à chaud pour feuillards, au moyen de rouleaux pinceurs (5) qui sont placés, dans le sens de défilement (2) du feuillard, en aval de doubles-rouleaux (3,4) verticaux et qui produisent une contrainte de traction (6) agissant dans le sens longitudinal. L'objectif de l'invention est d'élargir le champ d'utilisation d'unités de refroidissement de tôles classiques pour permettre d'obtenir une plus grande planéité du feuillard d'acier (1) tout en renforçant l'effet du refroidissement. A cet effet, le feuillard d'acier (1) ou la tôle est déplacé(e) entre une dresseuse (7) assurant un dressage préalable et un dispositif de refroidissement par projection d'eau (8) tout en étant soumis(e) à une contrainte de traction définie (6) par régulation de cette dernière (6). En outre, le feuillard d'acier (1) ou la tôle est refroidi(e) dans le dispositif de refroidissement par projection d'eau (8) entre des paires de rouleaux pinceurs (5a) consécutifs, où la contrainte de traction (6) est également régulée.
