Abstract
L'invention concerne un appareil et une méthode de protection du paquet vasculo-nerveux pendant la cryo-ablation de tissus de la prostate. La méthode consiste à chauffer la zone située à proximité du paquet vasculo-nerveux tout en refroidissant les tissus pathologiques d'une prostate jusqu'à atteindre des températures de cryo-ablation, ce qui permet d'effectuer une cryo-ablation des tissus pathologiques tout en protégeant le paquet vasculo-nerveux contre des lésions. Une cryo-sonde utilisée pour refroidir une pointe fonctionnelle distale tout en chauffant une tige proximale est décrite.
