Abstract
La présente invention concerne une méthode et un appareil améliorés permettant de fournir rapidement de l'hydrogène à partir d'un dispositif de transformation de combustible, qui, dans certains modes de réalisation, est fourni à un empilement de piles à combustible. Le système de pile à combustible comprend un ou plusieurs dispositifs de transformation de combustible conçus pour produire un courant d'hydrogène, et un ou plusieurs empilements de piles à combustible conçus pour produire un courant électrique à partir du courant d'hydrogène produit. Le système de pile à combustible comprend également un dispositif de stockage de l'hydrogène conçu pour stocker l'hydrogène produit par les dispositifs de transformation de combustible et pour fournir l'hydrogène stocké aux empilements de piles à combustible, comme pendant les pics de demande de charge ou durant les périodes pendant lesquelles les dispositifs de transformation de combustible ne peuvent pas produire l'hydrogène requis par l'empilement de piles à combustible ou tout autre dispositif à consommation d'hydrogène.
