Abstract

Un système de préhension de tiges pouvant avantageusement être utilisé en relation avec un dispositif d'alimentation de tiges de forage minier. Dans cette application préférée, le système de préhension comprend un poignet assemblé au dispositif d'alimentation et muni d'un système d'inclinaison, un mât disposé de façon coulissante dans ledit poignet, et deux pinces articulées 22 fixées à chaque extrémité du mât 26. Le système de préhension comprend de plus des moyens pour déplacer le mat longitudinalement par rapport au poignet. En utilisation, le mat est incliné pour s'adapter à l'angle de tiges de forages à saisir, les pinces saisissent une tige, puis la tige est élevée à sa hauteur d'utilisation par le déplacement du mât. Cette utilisation du système de préhension de tiges permet d'alimenter une foreuse en tiges très rapidement.
