Abstract
Cette invention concerne un système de surveillance chargé de compter les événements lors du fonctionnement de multiples machines ou dispositifs dans une vaste zone géographique. Par exemple, pour les distributeurs de produits en vrac, le système compte chaque vente correspondant à une rotation dans un cycle du mécanisme à pièces et enregistre de préférence la date et l'heure de chaque vente. Une étiquette active comprend une mémoire servant à stocker des données représentant un événement de vente, par exemple la date et l'heure de l'événement. Les données sont périodiquement lues par un interrogateur qui télécharge les données stockées dans la mémoire de l'étiquette et qui efface la mémoire pour remettre l'étiquette à zéro en vue de la poursuite de la surveillance du distributeur. Ces informations permettant à un opérateur de faire concorder les revenus, de repérer l'heure et la data auxquelles les ventes ont lieu et sur quel intervalle de temps, et de repérer les habitudes de travail du personnel de service.
