Abstract

Une méthode de nettoyage des parties internes d'une cuve destinée au traitement d'un flux d'hydrocarbures lourds, telle qu'une colonne de récupération de diluant paraffinique (1) dans une installation de raffinage du bitume, ladite méthode comprenant l'introduction d'un courant de nettoyage (3) comprenant des composants aromatiques ou naphténiques dans la cuve de manière que le courant de nettoyage coule au moins le long d'une partie substantielle de la surface des parties internes de la cuve et élimine les dépôts d'asphaltène précipité desdites parties internes. Le courant de nettoyage (3) peut comprendre un gazole léger aromatique ou naphténique (LGO), qui est recyclé dans une colonne de distillation atmosphérique (2) dans une installation de raffinage du bitume.
