Abstract
L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé destinés à séparer des solides des gaz dans un mélange et permettant d'améliorer l'efficacité de la séparation par application d'un mouvement en spirale au mélange dans un premier sens angulaire, de façon à séparer de manière centripète les solides les plus lourds des gaz les plus légers dans un conduit et à orienter l'entrée du cyclone, de sorte que la trajectoire du mélange est à l'extérieur du centre du cyclone. La trajectoire souhaitée peut être améliorée par application d'un sens angulaire en spirale opposé audit mélange dans le récipient de séparation par rapport au cyclone ou par la disposition de manière tangentielle dudit cyclone par rapport au récipient, de sorte que le cyclone et le récipient de séparation créent une paroi latérale tangentielle commune. Lesdits appareil et procédé incorporent une proportion plus grande du mélange entrant dans le cyclone dans son tourbillon, de façon à améliorer la séparation entre les solides et les gaz. L'efficacité de la séparation est améliorée grâce à une direction tangentielle du mélange dans le cyclone.
