Abstract

La présente invention concerne un nouvel appareil et une nouvelle méthode de marquage de position. Selon un mode de réalisation, un dispositif électronique peut être actionné pour identifier sa position selon la combinaison de stations de base dont il reçoit les signaux. Diverses régions géographiques sont définies et peuvent être identifiées et rebaptisées par l'utilisateur en fonction de la combinaison unique d'identifiants des stations de base dans chaque lieu géographique. Le mode de réalisation décrit permet à l'utilisateur d'employer des postes portables pour suivre continuellement leur position pendant qu'ils se déplacent. Des applications du dispositif électronique peuvent être configurées pour répondre de différentes manières selon la position où se trouve le dispositif électronique.
