Abstract

Description dun procédé et dun système permettant de déterminer une propriété dun objet par mesure de latténuation ultrasonore. Selon le procédé proposé, un signal dinteraction ultrasonore de lobjet est comparé à un signal de référence produit à laide de la même configuration de génération et de détection, mais à laide dun élément de référence. Le signal ultrasonore de référence présente une faible atténuation et comporte des propriétés de diffraction équivalentes à celles de lobjet, relativement à une impulsion ultrasonore en bande large. La différence est attribuable à latténuation de lobjet. Latténuation en fonction de la fréquence, c.-à-d., le spectre datténuation, est adaptée à un modèle afin dobtenir un paramètre utile pour identifier une des nombreuses propriétés dun objet qui varie avec latténuation ultrasonore.
