Abstract

Une niveleuse rétractable est munie d'un mécanisme permettant de pivoter la lame de nivellement dans le plan horizontal. La lame de nivellement est tractée par un véhicule (généralement un tracteur) à l'aide de barres de traction, l'une d'elles étant munie d'une coulisse permettant d'ajuster la position de la la me de nivellement par rapport au véhicule en reculant celui-ci. La lame peut être placée parallèlement à l'arrière du tracteur, ou à tout autre angle jugé approprié pour le nivellement, ou perpendiculairement à l'arrière du tracteur pour faciliter le transport de la niveleuse et permettre l'accès à la voie publique, sans modifier son attache au tracteur.
