Abstract
L'invention concerne un vérin mécanique utilisé sur des remorques. Le vérin a une combinaison fonctionnelle de plusieurs engrenages de travail ainsi qu'une fonction escamotable. Le vérin mécanique comporte une boîte de vitesses à engrenages qui non seulement peut supporter une charge relativement lourde, mais qui peut aussi supporter des charges petites et moyennes tout en maintenant des vitesses de lancement suffisantes et commercialement acceptables, sans nécessiter une force excessive. Le vérin comprend une manivelle ou une poignée destinée à être utilisée avec le vérin mécanique en vue de favoriser le soulèvement et l'abaissement du vérin, ainsi que la transition efficace d'un engrenage de travail à un autre. Le vérin peut également utiliser un moteur électrique comme puissance d'entrée au vérin.
