Abstract

Cette invention concerne des procédés et un appareil se rapportant à une unité qui est verrouillée afin de ne pas être utilisée pour des communications jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit déverrouillée, et qui peut être activée sur un réseau choisi une fois qu'elle est déverrouillée. Cette unité comprend une mémoire servant à stocker un code de déverrouillage qui est spécifique à ladite unité. Le code de déverrouillage est utilisé afin de déverrouiller l'unité, et ne peut être brisé sans avoir connaissance d'un code secret et d'un algorithme. Le code de déverrouillage est généré en utilisant l'algorithme comportant le code secret, ainsi qu'un identificateur unique de l'unité. Cette unité comprend également une commande de réception de code d'entrée, ainsi qu'un numéro d'identification du système comportant le code d'entrée, ce numéro provenant du réseau choisi. Cette unité comprend en outre un processeur qui effectue une comparaison entre le code d'entrée et le code de déverrouillage, ceci de manière à déverrouiller l'unité dans le cas où le code d'entrée est essentiellement identique au code de déverrouillage suite à la comparaison et, si le déverrouillage se fait, à activer l'unité sur le réseau choisi en fonction du numéro d'identification du système.
