Abstract

La présente invention porte sur l'utilisation de folates pour prévenir et/ou traiter des maladies cardiovasculaires, comme l'athérosclérose, et, en particulier, pour réguler l'oxyde nitrique synthétase endothéliale. L'invention concerne également des préparations pharmaceutiques composées desdits folates et un vecteur pharmaceutiquement acceptable, facultativement en combinaison avec d'autres agents pharmaceutiquement actifs, de même que des méthodes therapeutiques faisant appel à ces folates ou à des préparations pharmaceutiques de ceux-ci.
