Abstract
La présente concerne un système, une méthode et un appareil qui épargnent du travail pour le raccord ou le couplage de longueurs de tubes électriques métalliques (« TEM »). L'invention utilise des raccords et des connecteurs qui ont des arêtes conçues pour s'engager dans des indentations correspondantes sur un TEM pour assurer une installation correcte. Dans un aspect, l'invention est un TEM ayant une surface intérieure formant une cavité, une surface extérieure, une première extrémité, et au moins une indentation dans la surface extérieure ou près de la première extrémité, l'indentation étant adaptée pour recevoir une arête correspondante d'un dispositif à manchon. Dans un autre aspect, l'invention est un dispositif à manchon comprenant une surface intérieure formant une cavité adaptée pour recevoir une extrémité d'un TEM, une surface extérieure, une première extrémité; au moins une arête sur la surface intérieure du manchon ou près de la première extrémité du manchon, l'arête étant adaptée pour s'engager dans une indentation correspondant du TEM.
