Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système de courrier électronique (courriel) qui peut comprendre une pluralité de dispositifs de communications mobiles sans fil, une pluralité de serveurs de stockage de courriel et un système d'agrégation de courriel lié opérationnellement entre la pluralité de dispositifs de communications mobiles sans fil et la pluralité de serveurs de stockage de courriel pour diriger les courriels entre les deux. Le système d'agrégation de courriel peut comprendre un serveur de passerelle d'entrée pour recevoir des courriels d'entrée et y ajouter sélectivement des données de traitement supplémentaires, ainsi qu'au moins un serveur agent d'utilisateur (MUA) en aval du serveur de passerelle d'entrée pour traiter les courriels reçus en fonction des données de traitement supplémentaires ajoutées sélectivement. Le système d'agrégation de courriel peut également inclure un serveur de passerelle de sortie en aval d'au moins un serveur MUA pour envoyer des courriels de sortie après leur avoir enlevé les données de traitement supplémentaires.
