Abstract
Réseau grande capacité comprenant plusieurs nouds de bord raccordés de façon asymétrique à plusieurs plans de commutateur, chaque plan de commutateur comprenant des unités de commutateur optique à commutation rapide entièrement maillé. Les canaux de longueur d'onde en amont provenant de chaque noud de bord source se raccordent à différents plans de commutateur de façon à veiller à ce que les canaux de longueur d'onde en amont provenant de l'un des deux nouds de bord se raccordent à une unité de commutateur commune selon un nombre prédéfini (préférablement un) de plans de commutateur. Ainsi, les unités de commutateur des différents plans de commutateur se raccordent à des canaux en amont à partir de sous-ensembles orthogonaux de nouds de bord source. l'opposé, les canaux de longueur d'onde en aval provenant d'une unité de commutateur de chaque plan de commutateur se raccordent à un ensemble de nouds de bord puits. Selon un autre mode de réalisation, l'asymétrie en amont et en aval peut être inversée.
