Abstract

La présente concerne une méthode permettant d'identifier des molécules d'origine biologique. Les molécules sont identifiées sur la base du rapport masse sur charge des molécules déterminé avec précision et d'au moins une autre propriété physicochimique comme le temps d'élution ou l'état de charge. D'autres propriétés physicochimiques peuvent être utilisées. La masse précise déterminée de façon expérimentale et les propriétés peuvent être comparées avec des renseignements de la table de recherche. La table de recherche peut générer des propriétés physicochimiques de données dans une base de données traditionnelle qui peuvent être calculées. La capacité de reconnaître et d'identifier, de préférence, les mêmes molécules dans deux échantillons différents peut être utilisée pour déterminer si des molécules biologiques spécifiques ont été exprimées différemment dans un échantillon expérimental par rapport à un échantillon de contrôle.
