Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif porte-pièce vertical, réglable et portable. Le dispositif comprend un socle ayant en vue de face un profil curviligne et une vue de dessous plate et a un dessus et un fond. Une paire de mâchoires se faisant face sont reliées au socle et au moins une de la paire de mâchoires est montée sur le socle de façon à pouvoir coulisser et comporte un mécanisme de verrouillage situé sur elle pour rendre cette mâchoire montée de façon à pouvoir coulisser verrouillable et déverrouillable dans une pluralité de positions le long du socle. Une caractéristique critique et unique est que le socle est mou (semi-flexible) et s'aplatit sous la charge. Dans quelques modes de réalisation préférés, la paire de mâchoires sont des mâchoires sensiblement plates se faisant face l'une à l'autre avec un espace entre elles et, quand le dispositif est au repos, sans pièce de fabrication, il y a une première largeur d'intervalle au plus près du socle qui est inférieure à une largeur d'intervalle au plus loin du socle. Quand on applique une charge au socle en plaçant une pièce de fabrication entre ladite paire de mâchoires et sur le socle, le socle s'aplatit dans cette situation sous contrainte jusqu'à avoir un profil latéral sensiblement horizontal et la paire de mâchoires deviennent sensiblement parallèles l'une à l'autre pour tenir la pièce de fabrication.
