Abstract

Appareillage et procédé de production d'asphalte à froid pour la réparation et la construction de voirie afin de faciliter la préparation d'asphalte à froid sur le chantier ou à proximité de ce dernier. L'appareillage comprend au moins deux trémies pour recevoir des particules granulaires et tamisées, une alimentation directe d'huile additive et une autre alimentation en option pour de la chaux, des convoyeurs pour transporter les particules granulaires et tamisées, l'huile et la chaux optionnelle vers un mélangeur. Ce dernier est commandé par un contrôleur programmé pour déterminer la bonne proportion d'asphalte recyclée et une petite quantité d'asphalte neuve (RAP), du sable (silicates ou crible de RAP), de l'huile additive à base d'hydrocarbures et de la chaux en option (poudre de pierre à chaux). L'appareillage peut être installé en permanence afin de créer une usine de fabrication d'asphalte à froid, ou placé sur une remorque pour servir sur un chantier de construction. L'invention vise également une méthode de fabrication d'asphalte à froid par l'introduction de RAP, de sable et d'huile additive, ainsi que de chaux en option dans l'appareillage, de même qu'un produit-procédé où le mélange d'asphalte à froid est produit selon le procédé revendiqué dans la méthode. Le produit final est essentiellement non toxique, avec peu ou pas du tout de composés VOC ou à base d'HAP, a une longue durée de conservation et et produit, entreposé, utilisé et compacté à des températures ambiantes.
