Abstract

Une vanne à cage permet de réduire l'érosion à l'orifice de sortie. La vanne est du type comportant une garniture d'écoulement disposée perpendiculairement à l'orifice d'entrée et alignée à l'orifice de sortie, la garniture d'écoulement comprenant une cage tubulaire stationnaire et un collier de garniture d'écoulement cylindrique externe pouvant coulisser le long de la paroi latérale de la cage afin de couvrir ou de découvrir une ou plusieurs paires d'orifices d'écoulement principaux dans la paroi latérale de la cage. Le collier d'écoulement externe est disposé pour un mouvement entre une position fermée où chacun des orifices d'écoulement principaux est entièrement couvert par le collier d'écoulement externe et une position ouverte où chacun des principaux orifices d'écoulement reste partiellement couvert par le collier d'écoulement externe de sorte que l'écoulement du fluide de l'entrée dans chacun des orifices d'écoulement principaux est dirigé à angle dans le collier d'écoulement externe, loin de l'orifice d'entrée, pour réduire l'érosion à l'orifice d'entrée.
