Abstract

Le cintrage ou pliage du bois solide à la vapeur a permis jusqu'à maintenant l'utilisation de pièces de bois d'un seul morceau, c'est-à-dire, une pièce unique à la dimension désirée. Cela limite donc la dimension des pièces courbées et cause souvent beaucoup de perte de bois. L'invention permet maintenant la réalisation de pièces courbées longitudinalement ou transversalement de grandes dimensions en assemblant des lattes de bois soli de les unes aux autres, rive contre rive, à l'aide d'une colle et de cintrer cette nouvelle pièce obtenue par la suite. La perte de bois solide est alors beaucoup diminuée étant donnée la possibilité d'assembler plusieurs lattes de bois de différentes largeurs ensemble. Cela permet alors la réalisation de composantes courbées de dimensions presque illimitées, qui avant, l'était par la largeur des sciages ou autrement dit par la grosseur des arbres. Maintenant, la limite se situe au niveau de la capacité des équipements utilisés pour le cintrage du bois solide. Cette nouvelle façon de faire ouvre de belles perspectives du point de vue technique et économique pour les fabricants d'articles cintrées. Nous avons qu'à penser à des articles de sports en bois, des dossiers de chaises ou des portes d'armoires de cuisine en bois massif, par exemples.

Claims (3)

1. Un procédé pour obtenir un panneau ou autres types de pièces de bois massif courbés longitudinalement et ou transversalement au rayon ou formes désirées se composant de 2 lattes et plus, de même largeur ou de largeurs différentes, de même essence ou d'essences différentes, collées entre elles, chant contre chant ou face contre face ou les deux, tel que décrit plus haut.
2. Un panneau ou autres types de pièces de bois, courbés longitudinalement et ou transversalement au rayon ou formes désirées, se composant de 2 lattes et plus, de même largeur ou de largeurs différentes, de même essence ou d'essences différentes, collées entre elles, chant contre chant ou face contre face ou les deux, avec une colle résistante a la vapeur et aux tensions exercées lors du courbage ou formage. Le panneau ou pièce est courbé ou formé
après avoir été
préalablement assemblé et collé a plat selon une technique de panneautage quelconque courante ou connue en ébénisterie.
3. Un panneau ou une pièce de bois courbé tel qu'il est défini dans la revendication 2, réalisé a partir de planches ou de madriers de bois massif de différentes essences utilisées en ébénisterie.
