Abstract

Un dispositif de production dhydrogène gazeux à partir de la décomposition de leau emploie un cycle thermochimique CuCl; lamélioration comprend lutilisation dun réacteur de production dhydrogène isolé comportant une chambre de réaction et une chambre de séparation; la chambre de séparation comprend une entrée de chlorure dhydrogène gazeux et une entrée de cuivre solide; un ou plusieurs paliers sont présents dans la chambre de réaction, le nombre étant dépendant de l'échelle de production et de la baisse de pression; chaque palier comporte une plaque perforée et un support de filtre associé, les perforations de la plaque et du support étant de taille décroissante à partir du haut vers le bas de la chambre de réaction et étant dimensionnées pour permettre l'écoulement vers le bas de lhydrogène gazeux et des produits de CuCl fondus, et de lagent de réaction HCl, et pour empêcher lentraînement de cuivre solide dans le CuCl fondu; la chambre de séparation est située sous la chambre de réaction, présente une section transversale plus grande que la chambre de réaction et comprend une première zone d'extraction dhydrogène et dextraction du cuivre entraîné et une deuxième zone d'extraction de CuCl fondu; lextraction des produits de réaction est contrôlée de sorte à substantiellement diminuer la quantité de cuivre entraîné dans le CuCl fondu; et la première zone présente des sorties servant à extraire lhydrogène gazeux et les particules de cuivre entraînées et la deuxième zone comporte une sortie servant à extraire le CuCl fondu.
