Abstract

Une bande de traction faite substantiellement dun matériau élastomère est divulguée. La bande de traction comprend un corps de bande principal divisé en une pluralité de sections reliées ensemble le long de lignes inclinées se prolongeant latéralement. Le corps de bande comporte une surface intérieure dengagement de roue, adaptée pour coopérer avec les diverses roues dun mécanisme de chenille et une surface extérieure dengagement au sol adaptée pour engager le sol. La surface dengagement de roue comporte une ou plusieurs rangées dergots dentraînement espacés longitudinalement ou dergots de guidage habituellement disposés sur chacune des sections de bande. La surface dengagement au sol comprend des ergots de traction se prolongeant longitudinalement sur plus dune section de bande, ces ergots de traction comportant des régions de courbure se prolongeant latéralement où les ergots de traction sont plus minces. Ces régions de courbure sont substantiellement alignées aux régions sur la surface intérieure qui sont dépourvues dergots dentraînement et dergots de guidage.
