Abstract

Dent pour scie circulaire ou tambour de faucheuse pouvant être utilisée pour couper des arbres sur pied ou des broussailles et des sous-bois. La dent présente quatre arêtes coupantes réparties en une première paire d'arêtes coupantes opposées essentiellement droites et en une deuxième paire d'arêtes coupantes opposées essentiellement concaves. La dent est fixée dans un support, dans une première ou deuxième position de coupe, qui oriente une arête coupante de la première ou deuxième paire afin qu'elle entre physiquement en contact avec un matériau taillable et y applique une méthode de coupe. Selon une première méthode de coupe, une arête coupante essentiellement droite entre en contact avec le matériau et entraîne un acte de tranchage. Selon une deuxième méthode de coupe, une arête coupante essentiellement concave entre en contact avec le matériau et entraîne un acte d'entaille. Les dents de la scie circulaire ou du tambour de faucheuse alternent entre une première et une deuxième position de coupe, ce qui permet aux deux méthodes de coupe d'être appliquées à un matériau taillable.
