Abstract
Un procédé pour former un bouchon de fond de puits dans un tubage de puits abandonné afin dempêcher que le gaz sécoule à travers le bouchon et atteigne la surface, particulièrement dans des projets de séquestration du CO2. Une fraise permet le fraisage dune section longitudinale du périmètre du tubage de puits et du ciment et des débris environnants pour exposer le puits de forage. Un élément chauffant contenant un alliage métallique solide est abaissé dans le tubage et lalliage est fondu de manière quil remplisse la zone fraisée et sécoule dans la face du puits. Lélément chauffant est retiré pour permettre à lalliage de se solidifier. Le tubage supérieur permet de limiter tout mouvement du bouchon à la suite de la solidification de lalliage.
