Abstract

L'invention porte sur un support de capot pour un véhicule possédant un capot mobile entre une position ouverte et une position fermée. Le support de capot comprend un ensemble de ressorts pouvant être disposé entre le capot et une autre partie du véhicule. L'ensemble de ressorts peut être déplacé jusqu'à une position étendue permettant le mouvement du capot vers la position ouverte et jusqu'à une position comprimée permettant le mouvement du capot vers la position fermée. Le support de capot comprend également un tube de verrouillage entourant une partie de l'ensemble de ressorts et mobile relativement audit ensemble. Le tube de verrouillage peut être sélectivement actionné entre une position verrouillée dans laquelle ledit tube fixe l'ensemble de ressorts dans la position étendue et une position non verrouillée dans laquelle l'ensemble de ressorts peut être déplacé vers la position comprimée.
