Abstract

On décrit une pompe pour récupérer des hydrocarbures à partir de puits de fond de trou, ayant une surface d'appui adaptée pour venir en prise de façon étanche avec une surface intérieure d'un élément d'étanchéité circonférentiel situé dans la colonne de production lorsque ladite pompe se trouve dans une position fonctionnelle de fond de trou. Un bouchon d'isolation est fourni, couplé de manière libérable à une extrémité inférieure de ladite pompe, qui comprend un moyen de scellement pour venir en prise de façon étanche avec ladite surface intérieure dudit élément d'étanchéité circonférentiel lorsque le bouchon d'isolation est positionné linéairement à l'intérieur dudit élément d'étanchéité circonférentiel et découplé de l'ensemble pompe, empêchant ainsi les gaz et les fluides de communication fluidique avec la surface lorsque la pompe est soulevée et retirée du puits. Une méthode pour sceller un puits lors du retrait d'une pompe est également décrite.
