Abstract

L'invention porte sur des mousses de latex conviviales, à faible montée, pour le scellement étanche de cavités isolantes d'un bâtiment. Les mousses peuvent être appliquées à l'interface du revêtement et des montants à l'intérieur des cavités isolantes pour réduire les fuites d'air. Les mousses de latex peuvent également être appliquées sur la face des montants pour obtenir un joint d'étanchéité supplémentaire à l'encontre de l'infiltration d'air. La mousse peut être utilisée pour fixer des panneaux isolants semi-rigides de fibres de verre, des brides de panneaux isolants semi-rigides et des barrières à la vapeur à l'ossature sans organes mécaniques de fixation. Un tackifiant peut être ajouté pour conférer une qualité adhésive à la mousse. La nature collante de la mousse permet à la cloison sèche ou à la barrière à la vapeur d'être repositionnée sans dommage. Une cloison sèche est maintenue sur la face des montants par la mousse collante alors que les organes mécaniques de fixation sont introduits pour fixer de manière permanente la cloison sèche à l'ossature. La nature compressive de la mousse permet à la cloison sèche d'être attachée sans flambage ou détachement significatif.
