Abstract

Le « capuchon de cheminée » est un dispositif qui, par son utilisation, permet de conserver la chaleur dans un logement. Installé entre le tuyau du poêle et le raccord mural, il permet à quelquun, en quelques secondes, dinstaller ou de retirer un capuchon mural double isolé. Lorsque cela est fait régulièrement, il ny a aucune fuite au moment de lutilisation du poêle à bois ou dun appareil similaire, et cela peut facilement être fait en toute propreté. Doté dun joint de verrouillage coulissant, le prototype est conçu à laide de tiges et décrous en acier dun demi-pouce (1/2 po). Des rivets et du scellant sont utilisés pour joindre les murs parallèles dun tiers (1/3) de longueur aux deux tuyaux primaires. La soudure peut savérer une meilleure option, ou encore une pièce de tuyau en un morceau. Le joint coulissant dévoile une ouverture dans le tuyau afin dinsérer ou de retirer le capuchon isolé. Ainsi, lors de lutilisation, le capuchon empêche la chaleur de séchapper du trou dans le mur et empêche lair froid dentrer dans le logement. De plus, pendant les chauds mois dété, alors que la climatisation est en fonction, le capuchon isolé assure la fonction opposée, cest-à-dire quil garde la chaleur à lextérieur et empêche lair frais de lintérieur de séchapper hors du trou. Lorsquil est utilisé régulièrement, le capuchon de cheminée fait son travail 24 heures par jour et permet déconomiser de lénergie 24 heures par jour.
