Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système de suspension assistée par vide qui est utilisé pour augmenter ou maintenir une pression négative ou un vide dans une cavité d'emboîture scellée en tant que mécanisme de fixation d'une emboîture et d'un membre prosthétique. Le système comprend une pompe à vide (2) ayant un boîtier (8) qui définit un espace clos pour recevoir un fluide. Au moins une paroi du boîtier (8) et au moins une paroi mobile (10) définissent un compartiment de fluide (12). Le système comprend un élément de transfert de compression (15) raccordé à l'au moins une paroi mobile (10) et raccordé à un pied prosthétique (6). L'élément de transfert de compression (15) conduit l'au moins une paroi mobile (10) du compartiment de fluide (12) à se déplacer et augmenter le volume du compartiment de fluide (12) en réponse à une force de compression sur le pied prosthétique (6) pour aspirer le fluide provenant depuis le pied prosthétique (4). En l'absence d'une force de compression, le volume du compartiment de fluide (12) diminue de manière à expulser le fluide hors du compartiment de fluide (12).
