Abstract

La présente invention a trait à un emballage étanche (10) qui est destiné à au moins une batterie défectueuse (11) contenant un liquide corrosif. L'emballage selon la présente invention est doté d'au moins trois couches et inclut un récipient intérieur (20) qui est conçu de manière à recevoir une batterie, un récipient intermédiaire imperméable aux fluides (30) qui enferme de manière étanche le récipient intérieur, et un récipient extérieur (40) qui renferme le récipient intermédiaire de sorte que la batterie défectueuse contenant un liquide est emballée de manière à être protégée en vue d'un transport sans fuite. Un autre aspect de la présente invention a trait à un procédé permettant d'emballer au moins une batterie contenant un liquide corrosif en chargeant la batterie dans le récipient intérieur qui est scellé à l'intérieur du récipient intermédiaire qui se trouve lui-même à l'intérieur du récipient extérieur verrouillé, de sorte que la batterie défectueuse contenant un liquide est emballée de manière à être protégée en vue d'un transport sans fuite.
