Abstract

Un procédé et un appareil améliorés servent à la préparation de boue de sables bitumineux. Le minerai de sables bitumineux extrait est déposé dans un tube de broyage rotatif. Au moment où le tube de rupture pivote, le minerai est avancé et broyé. Le fluide de traitement peut être distribué de manière différentielle sur toute la longueur du broyeur rotatif, formant alors une boue de sables bitumineux et contribuant à la fragmentation et à l'ablation du minerai. Les sables bitumineux fragmentés et le fluide de traitement passent dans les perforations de la surface intérieure du broyeur rotatif et sont recueillis dans une trémie, tandis que les morceaux de minerai grossiers et surdimensionnés sont éjectés par l'extrémité d'évacuation du broyeur rotatif. Le tube de broyage rotatif est résistant au retour de fluide lorsque la vitesse d'alimentation est élevée.
