Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de capture d'images constitué d'une ou plusieurs sources lumineuses et d'un dispositif de capture d'images destiné à l'imagerie d'un visage humain. Le dispositif enrichit des informations topographiques en capturant une multitude d'images numériques d'un visage placé dans une orientation fixe avec des positions variables de sources lumineuses et en combinant les images à l'aide d'un algorithme de mélange. Il peut exister des sources lumineuses multiples ou une seule source lumineuse qui est repositionnée à chaque capture d'image de telle façon que les positions de la source lumineuse ne coïncident pas. L'algorithme de mélange peut être appliqué à un nombre quelconque d'images parmi un ensemble d'images acquises dans une orientation fixe, seule l'orientation de la source lumineuse étant variable. Le dispositif peut comprendre un dispositif d'appui servant à maintenir le visage humain dans une orientation fixe pendant la capture d'images.
