Abstract

La présente invention concerne un outil de sauvetage portatif alimenté par un moteur électrique. Le moteur électrique comporte un arbre de sortie d'entraînement qui transfère une puissance de rotation à une boîte de vitesses rotative angulaire. La boîte de vitesses rotative angulaire comporte un arbre de sortie qui est orienté à environ 90 degrés par rapport à l'axe de rotation de l'arbre de sortie du moteur et est commandé pour accroître le couple et réduire la vitesse de la puissance de rotation. La boîte de vitesses rotative angulaire fournit une vitesse réduite, une puissance totale élevée à un arbre de sortie qui est délivrée par une transmission par chaîne unique vers un actionneur rotatif principal où deux bras d'actionneur sont commandés pour s'éloigner l'un de l'autre et de se rapprocher l'un vers l'autre lors du fonctionnement de l'outil de sauvetage. L'outil de sauvetage portatif est conçu pour être d'un poids faible et posséder des propriétés de refroidissement améliorées comme des outils de sauvetage actuels.
