Abstract

Un appareil pour la réalisation dun essai de mécanique des contacts sur un substrat comprend un mécanisme dalignement de stylet. Une méthode est décrite pour réaliser lessai avec lalignement de stylet, afin de recevoir la réponse du matériau de substrat. Une méthode est aussi décrite pour prédire des caractéristiques en subsurface et efficaces du substrat à laide de gradients de caractéristiques, par lutilisation dune combinaison dessai physique et danalyse. Un appareil pour réaliser un essai de mécanique des contacts dans un substrat comprend un stylet disposant dun axe principal et formé pour déformer le substrat à un emplacement, un noyau, dans lequel le stylet est logé, configuré pour mettre le stylet en contact avec le substrat à lemplacement, un mécanisme dalignement, couplé au noyau, configuré pour maintenir une orientation angulaire locale souhaitée de laxe principal du stylet par rapport à la surface de substrat à lemplacement et un mécanisme de contact du stylet configuré pour maintenir la pénétration du stylet dans le substrat lorsque le stylet se déplace le long de la surface du substrat. Lappareil comprend également un mécanisme de contact du noyau, raccordé au noyau, pour déplacer le stylet le long de la surface du substrat pour former une réponse de contact du substrat et un dispositif de surveillance du substrat pour surveiller la réponse du substrat en fonction de la réponse de contact du substrat. Des méthodes de réalisation de lessai de mécanique de contact sont également décrites et peuvent comprendre le glissage par frottement ou une série dindentations.
