L'invention concerne également un procédé de prévention ou de traitement d'une infection parasitaire chez un animal, le procédé comprenant l'administration orale audit animal d'une composition comprenant une ou plusieurs substances parmi : une huile essentielle qui contient du gamma-terpinène, et/ou du carvacrol, et/ou du thymol, et/ou du terpinénol, et/ou de l'eucalyptol, et/ou de l'eugénol; une huile essentielle du genre Cinnamomum, Eugenia et Eucalyptus; ou une source de saponine.
