Abstract

L'invention concerne des procédés et un appareil de diffusion et de lecture de contenu. Les procédés et l'appareil sont bien appropriés à la diffusion et à la lecture de contenu, correspondant à un environnement sur 360 degrés, et peuvent être utilisés pour prendre en charge la diffusion de contenu par flux et/ou en temps réel, par exemple, du contenu 3D, correspondant à un événement tel qu'un événement sportif, par exemple, lorsque l'événement est en cours ou après que l'événement est terminé. Des parties de l'environnement sont capturées par des caméras disposées sur différentes positions. Le contenu capturé depuis les différents emplacements est encodé et rendu disponible à la diffusion. Un dispositif de lecture choisit le contenu à recevoir en se basant sur la position de la tête de l'utilisateur. Des flux peuvent être rendus prioritaires et choisis pour être diffusés en se basant sur le champ de vision courant et/ou la direction de rotation de la tête de l'utilisateur. Des images statiques ou des images de synthèse peuvent être utilisées et combinées avec du contenu provenant d'un ou de plusieurs flux, par exemple pour des parties en arrière-plan, du ciel, et/ou au sol.
