Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé d'amélioration des sols comprenant un dispositif comportant une pluralité de dents s'étendant vers le bas à partir d'une plaque supérieure de manière à réaliser le déplacement du matériau de sol vers le bas et radialement vers l'extérieur. Les dents peuvent comporter des nervures espacées verticalement le long d'une surface externe des dents. Les dents peuvent également présenter la forme de plaques opposées. Le dispositif est entraîné mécaniquement dans le sol pour atteindre des profondeurs de pénétration prédéterminées par les dents/plaques. Le dispositif est rétracté et entraîné de façon répétitive pour réaliser la densification. Éventuellement, les vides générés par le dispositif peuvent être remplis avec un fluide coulant.
