Abstract
La présente invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés permettant de réduire les coûts en capital et frais de fonctionnement d'un système de traitement de fusion et d'améliorer l'impact environnemental du processus de fusion à l'aide d'un système IGT pour retirer et filtrer des gaz et des particules dangereux pour l'environnement à partir de chaque cellule électrolytique dans le système de traitement de fusion. Le système de fusion d'alumine selon l'invention comprend : i) une pile électrolytique comprenant un boîtier dans lequel une zone supérieure du boîtier représente une superstructure; ii) un fond poreux à l'intérieur de la superstructure pour soutenir un lit fluidisé comprenant de l'alumine non-fluorée et/ou de l'alumine fluorée; et iii) un système de ventilation reliant de manière opérationnelle une ouverture dans la superstructure vers un environnement ouvert à l'extérieur de la cellule électrolytique, le système de ventilation comprenant un caisson de distribution des gaz de procédé épurés placé à l'intérieur de la superstructure au-dessus du fond poreux et un conduit de gaz de procédé épurés.
